2022 Meerlust Chardonnay

Varietal: Chardonnay
Nose: Appealing nose of apricot, peach, pear, lemon zest and floral notes with hints of toasted almonds
Palette:Stone fruit flavours with sleek, balanced, and crisp acidity. The wine remains vivacious and fresh on the finish with clean citrus fruit underpinned by minerality. The wine has a long, very pleasant lingering finish.
Food pairing:Grilled fish, shellfish, white meat, vegetable stew, brie, camembert

2022 Stellenrust Barrell Fermented Chenin Blanc

Region: Stellenbosch, South Africa
Varietal: Chenin Blanc
Nose: Citrus, baked apple and some sweet spice
Palette: Lemon acidity defining the bruised apple and sweet spice flavours, framed by a slight woody astringency with vanilla hints. Long finish.
Food pairing: Trout, chicken, turkey, pork chops, seafood, guinea foul, salmon, goats cheese, tuna tartare, sushi, salt and pepper squid, scallops, fish cakes, onion tart.
